All Together Dead By Charlaine Harris

"Betrayed by her longtime vampire love, Louisiana cocktail waitress Sookie Stackhouse must now not only deal with the possible new man in her life the so-so-handsome Shape Shifter Quinn- but also contend with the long-planned vampire summit. With her power base weakened by hurricane damage to New Orleans, the local vampire queen is vulnerable to those hungry for a takeover. Soon, Sookie must decide whit side she'll stand with. And her choice may mean the difference between survival and all-out catastrophe..."

This is by far the most dramatic book in the series so far. A lot of violence and back stabbing happens and who is really controlling who is revealed. Explosions and vampires being beheaded send Sookies world reeling literally. Uncontrollable pandemonium breaks out and there are vamps and weres missing in action along with some deaths out of vengeance and necessity.

With each passing book things get more and more difficult for Sookie and one has to wonder if she will eventually just become a vamp. She has taken blood from Eric 3 times so far and is bonded to him. He can make her change any time against her will or not. The question is will he do it or not. And would life be easier for Sookie without her "disability" or would she still have the same power if she were undead.
